Abstract

The article, based on empirical research, analyzes the role of traumatic events in the formation of anxiety-depressive manifestations in persons who lived under occupation. A theoretical analysis of the conceptsof traumatic events, anxiety and depression, and their impact on the psyche is conducted. It was found that as a result of traumatic events, anxiety and depressive manifestations tend to combine.

The study involved persons who lived under occupation and those who lived in the territory controlled by Ukraina. A set of diagnostic methods was used to assess the psychological state of the study participants. Analysis of the results showed that traumatic experiences significantly contribute to the development of anxiety-depressive states.

The results of the study can be used to develop psychological support and rehabilitation programs for people who have experienced traumatic events, as well as to create preventive measures aimed at reducing the risk of developing mental disorders. The work has practical value in the field of trauma psychology and mental health.
