Policy on Obtaining Ethics Committee Approval

The journal adheres to the requirements of Ukrainian legislation and international ethical standards for research involving humans, animals, their biological materials, as well as personal or confidential data.

All manuscripts describing such research must include information on obtaining approval from an ethics committeeor other relevant authority authorized under applicable normative legal acts (in particular, orders of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection," "On Animal Protection against Cruelty" etc.).

Authors are required to:

  • specify the name of the institution that issued the ethics committee approval, document number, and date;

  • confirm that the research was conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki (for studies involving humans);

  • certify obtaining informed consent from participants or their legal representatives;

  • in case of animal experiments — describe compliance with humane treatment rules and minimization of suffering;

  • when working with personal or confidential data — specify measures to ensure their protection and anonymization.

Manuscripts that do not contain confirmation of ethics committee approval or fail to meet the stated requirements will not be accepted for consideration.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to request a copy of the relevant approval or additional clarifications from the authors.
