SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL COMPONENTS OF WOMEN’S SEXUAL HEALTH IN CONDITIONS OF CHRONIC DISTRESS DURING THE WAR
Abstract
The publication is devoted to the issues of women’s sexual health in the context of long-term exposure to stressors caused by a full-scale war. The aspects of the impact of distress on sexual health are theoretically substantiated and analysed, focusing on the socio-psychological and social components. The results of the study emphasise the importance of the quality of partnerships in the crisis conditions of war and the expressed distress of women. It has been established that well-being in partnerships creates a favourable background for maintaining women’s sexual health even under conditions of stress. The issue of the media’s influence, namely violent news, on women’s sexual health is highlighted for further discussion on information hygiene.
